Course proposal:
Engineering with Blocks classes offer an engaging and practical educational experience
.
During the meetings, students learn about shapes,
sizes, fixed and mobile structures, as well as fundamental concepts from
physics, mathematics and natural sciences – such as addition, subtraction, fractions,
support points, energy conservation and elements of the fauna
and wild flora. All this is done in a playful way, using blocks of
assembly (such as Lego), motors and simple mechanisms.
Inspired by great scientists and inventors such as Leonardo da
Vinci and Isaac Newton, students are invited to explore
engineering themes and develop projects that combine theory and
practice. The methodology encourages critical thinking, creativity,
collaboration and autonomy.
In addition to academic content,
socio-emotional and behavioral skills such as teamwork,
persistence and analytical thinking are worked on.
