Course proposal:
Drawing is a way of learning about reality. In class, we will begin the course on the first strokes and will go until the construction of more personal works like the creation of characters. In the course, the children will have contact with the basic drawing vocabulary, the structure of characters and stories, the creation of characters (the mundane and the fantastic ones) and the basic principles of scale and proportion.
About the teacher:
Rodrigo de Moura is getting his master’s in Social Psychology from USP and is an architect and urbanist from Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo. He’s the organizer and author of the book O Glicério por suas crianças, he was also the coordinator of Projeto Cidade que Brinca. He believes that drawing goes beyond a simple representation, it has the power to create new realities.
