The beginning of the story that started in the head and heart of the educator Maria Helena Bresser.

Helena Samara

Along with her partner, Maria Helena Bresser, she founded Móbile, where she stayed until 2012, when she retired. Heleninha contributed decisively for the success and consolidation of the school project, above all the Early Childhood Education.

1975

Our first address:

Inspired in the concept of dynamic balance and in the mixture of technology, science and arts, presented in the kinetic sculptures -- the mobiles – of Alexander Calder (USA), Móbile is founded with two classes, an Early Childhood 3 and 4, with a total of 20 students.

Ione Capucci

Starts at Móbile as a teacher. She stayed in the school until 2023 as one of the most experienced and inspiring coordinators of Early Childhood Education.

Mariangela Lovizio

Jussara Santana

1976

The start of two important professionals for the history of Móbile: Mariangela Lovizio (now retired) and Jussara Santana, teacher of Primary School with the longest active time at Móbile.

Opening of two new classes:
Early Childhood 2 and 5.

1977

Only two years after its inauguration, and now with 62 students, Móbile arrives at a new address - Macuco Avenue – where the Early Education remained for 27 years.

Lucia Vinci

Starts at Móbile as a class assistant and then becomes a teacher and stays in the school until 2022 as one of the most experienced coordinators of Middle School.

José de Jesus - or “Zezão”,

as he’s kindly known –, initiates his trajectory as the school’s caretaker and then starts as a driver. As a kind of do-it-all, Zezão had an important role in the construction of Móbile, where he worked until 2020.

1978

With over 200 enrolled students, Móbile opens a new phase and its history with the beginning of Primary School, to which Maria Helena Bresser becomes pedagogical principal.

Maria Helena gets her title of Doctor in Psychology from USP. Her thesis is about the methodology of literacy that she created and applied at Móbile, which aims to turn the students’ reading more proficient from a qualified literacy.

1979

With the Primary School at Inhambu Street, the students now can count with the support of pedagogical supervisors, specialized in learning:Eliana Tayano takes on this role in Early Childhood Education until 2014 and Márcia Soares de Almeida in Primary School, staying until 2002.

1982

Beginning of ourtraditional June Party and a change in address: this time to Pintassilgo Street.

Opening of our Middle School.

Antonio de Freitas da Corte

becomes a Math teacher in the first class of Middle School and remains in this position until the end of 2021. Currently, Antonio is an honorary member of the board of Directors at Móbile and Coordinator of the Math course. Antonio understands this subject as an essential knowledge for the shaping of thinking and developing of intellectual skills that favors the construction of intellectual autonomy.

1985

The students from the first class to finish Middle School at Móbile.

Cleuza Vilas
Boas Bourgogne

Starts at Móbile as a class assistant, becoming, later on, a teacher, and then, pedagogical and educational coordinator, vice-principal and, since 2002, pedagogical principal of Regular period Primary School.

1986

New address change:
Araguari Street.
First owned building and kick start of the physical growth of the school in the surrounding area.

Beginning of the project Playing in Family of the Primary School.

1990

Beginning of the trajectory of Glória Bresser at Móbile, who remains until today at the school as principal, with the important role of taking care of all the school documentation of the students.

Cleuza Vilas Boas Bourgogne implemented at Móbile a new methodological approach centered in the study of textual genres in different areas of knowledge in Primary School.

1992

Maria de Remédios

starts at Móbile as a Primary School teacher. Currently, she’s the principal of the Regular period Early Childhood Education.

Advisor for Primary School teachers:

Antonio Freitas Corte starts the guidance of Math and Cleuza Vilas Boas Bourgogne, the Portuguese ones for the Primary School teachers.

1994

Starts at Móbile as a school secretary (now works at the enrollment coordination).

The Dedé, with her kind and caring way with each family and student, personifies one of the main values of the school: the idea that each student deserves to be seen individually.

1996

Cláudia Colla de Amorim

starts at Móbile as an English teacher. Today she’s the pedagogical principal of Móbile English, elective English courses.

1997

Lúcio Bresser Srour starts at Móbile, he begins to supervise the construction of the new school building and integrates the multidisciplinary staff of the High School establishment.

The project of the High School building, designed by the architect Paulo Sophia, is awarded in the 3rd Biennial International Architecture of São Paulo, in the category Edifications.

1998

Beginning of weekly meetings with the educators staff for the High School planning.

The teachers Glorinha Martini and Blaidi Sant'Anna, led by Maria Helena Bresser and the teacher Eduardo Roberto da Silva (Castor), are part of this group. The physicist Glorinha Martini excels as one of the essential educators for the institutional growth of Móbile.

Consolidation of
Coexist Better Project.

Lili Fonseca

starts at the school as a Primary School teacher, after she takes on the educational coordination of Middle School and, subsequently, the role of vice principal Primary School of Móbile Regular.

1999

Beginning of High School at Diogo Jácome Street – a bold project that balances academic, cultural, citizenship formation and construction of moral autonomy and life project for young students.

Creation of partnership with the NGO Gotas de Flor com Amor for the digital literacy of public school students, done with the support of Móbile students.

Consolidation of the actions of Health and Well-being of Children and Teenager Project.

2000

Wilton Ormundo

Starts at Móbile as a Portuguese teacher of the 8th grade and becomes an important figure in the enlargement of the “cultural library” of the students (a concept introduced by himself at the school). Today he is the pedagogical principal of Móbile School in partnership with Maria Helena Bresser.

New decade, new projects

Creation of the Literary Week by por Cleuza Vilas Boas Bourgogne.

Beginning of Cultural Agenda permanently in High School.

Beginning of Physics Lab outside.

Beginning of the course Ethics and Citizenship.

First version of the project “9th in Scene”, created and directed by Monika Kuszka, History teacher, and Valéria de Melo Pereira, Portuguese teacher, both from Middle School.

2001

Tatiana Almendra
Garcia Pereira

Starts at Móbile as coordinator assistant and quickly becomes educational coordinator of Middle School, then taking on the role of vice-principal of Primary School. Today she’s the principal of Móbile Bilingual Program, Full-time period.

Graduation of Móbile’s first High School class.

2002

Wilton Ormundo Wilton Ormundo idealizes, along with Maria Helena Bresser and designer Fernando Alexandrino (currently the coordinator of Production and Multimedia of the school) Móbile Magazine, of which he becomes the editor.
Besides that, it had the participation of important names such as Ferreira Gullar, Fernando Meirelles, Yves de La Taille, Marieta Severo, among others.

2003

Rodrigo Mendes

Starts at School as a High School Biology teacher and then takes on the role of coordinator of the Natural Science coordination and the Special Advisor of Pedagogical Principal. Today he’s the High School Principal.

2004

Daniel Bresser
Ingressa na Móbile.

He starts at Móbile, perfecting all the complex operational areas of the school. He also actively participates in the pedagogical decisions along with the general coordination, which he’s part of, elaborating a plan of sustainable growth for Móbile at medium and long term.

Beginning of the Project Little Móbile and Big Móbile, which presents an important rite of passage for the students who finish Primary Education at school and prepare themselves to enter a university and for the Early Childhood students who are formally presented to the 1st grade of Primary School by their older classmates.

For the first time Móbile receives the award Solidary School Stamp.

Opening of the Early Childhood building at Diogo Jácome Street and last year of operation at Macuco Street.

2006

With the pedagogical support of Cláudia Colla de Amorim, Daniel Bresser idealizes the courses of After-hours Period, now known as Móbile English, that aims to intensify the teaching of the English language after school period.

Móbile reaches public acknowledgment when it is reported in brazilians newspapers as one of the best placed schools in the national ranking of Enem.

2005

First version of Cultural Saturday of Early Childhood Education.

First InterMóbile with the participation of other schools. This event highlights Móbile in sporting competitions.

2008

Creation of the first Móbile Arts Showing.

First edition of Móbile’s Scientific and Artistic Initiation.

Creation of community actions that aim to impact the literacy of staff and people from the community, with the participation of volunteer teachers and students.

Opening of the pioneer project Graduation Theater of High School, directed by Wilton Ormundo and Teresa Chaves (currently History teacher and pedagogical coordinator of High School Humanities).

2010

Creation of the Student Union.

First version of the special End of Early Childhood Education party of the Regular period.

2009

Adriana Felicíssimo

starts at Móbile to coordinate the pedagogical actions in the Libray and creates a number of projects, including: “Story telling during the break”, “Portfolio of emotions”, “Stories into the ear”, “Library out of the Library”, “Library at the vegetable garden”, “Backyard Map”.

2012

Creation of the Educational Technology Department by the Physics teacher and coordinator Júlio Ribeiro and by Felipe Cocco, professional responsible for the search of educational solutions in the field of technology.

2013

Leonardo Cosentino

Starts at Móbile as Educational Coordinator. Now, he’s the vice-principal of High School.

First edition of Móbile in the Metropolis , designed by the High School Philosophy teacher Felipe Corazza.

Creation of elective subjects for High School.

2014

Development of Móbile Virtual. Móbile was the first school in the country to adopt the tool Canva, selected among many by Felipe Cocco, in a time when the company still didn’t have an office in Brazil.

Creation of the project Pause for the Debate by the hands of the High School Ethics and Citizenship teacher Beto Candelori.

2015

Beginning of the construction of the Móbile bilingual program building, full-time period.

First version of the project “An investigating look on the city of São Paulo”.

Beginning of the planning for Móbile’s pedagogical project bilingual program.

First version of MobMun. a High School project.

2016

Expansion of the space in the Early Childhood Education building of the Regular period.

First Móbile in the Metropolis Documentary Showing in the street theaters in São Paulo.

Creation of the project Debating.

First version of the Reflexive Parade.

2017

Opening of Móbile’s building bilingual program, full-time period.

Gradual implementation of the bilingual program in the first classes of Early Childhood and Primary School.

Creation of Móbile’s International Studies Department.

2018

Creation of the Momento Foco project for Early Childhood Education and Elementary School I students in the bilingual program, with advice from the monk Satyanatha.

2019

Opening of the first Middle School classes of the bilingual program.

First version of the Community Action of the bilingual program Primary School with the implementation of the project Hand-in-hand Culture, which aims to create community libraries connected to third sector institutions.

Implementation of the Cambridge Exam, to verify the proficiency of the bilingual program students in english.

Implementation of the Help Team from the bilingual program in Middle School by the vice-principal of Primary School, Luciana Lapa.

Luciana Lapa

Member of the highly regarded Gepem (Group of Studies and Research in Moral Education) from Unesp, starts at Móbile initially as a specialized pedagogical coordinator in the development of socio-emotional skills and becomes vice-principal of the bilingual program at Móbile.

2020

Year in which the World Health Organization decrees the Covid-19 pandemic, impacting the lives of billions of students around the world. Móbile migrates entirely for the digital environment, thanks to our Educational Technology department, the capacity of the Móbile Virtual platform and the skills of our teachers and professionals from pedagogical and educational management.

Creation and implementation of the Téchne Project – Science, technology and creativity Contest from the Middle School bilingual program.

Implementation of the Exam DELE, from Cervantes Institute, for the verification of proficiency in Spanish by the bilingual program students.

First Authorial Cinema Showing from 8th grade students of the bilingual program.

2021

Rodrigo Mourão

starts at Móbile as Operation and Finances Director after over 15 years of experience in the financial and management areas in many sectors of the industry, technology, education and B2B market.

Creation of the project “For an Antiracist Móbile”

With four work axes – curriculum review, racial literacy, literary literacy and voices of knowledge –, coordinated by a commission composed by representatives of all cycles, the project is born with the aim of making our school, every day more and more, antiracist –, and therefore, more ethical.

2021

Beginning of the construction of the new building for Middle School, Regular period.

Implementation of the Advanced Math extracurricular course for Middle School students,

First Computational Thinking Showing of full-time period.

First version of 9th in Scene of full-time period (in english), designed by the Performing Arts teacher Júlio Assad.

First presentation of Music and Dance Course conclusion.

Graduation of the first 9th grade class of Middle School, full-time period.

2022

Inauguration of the new Primary School building of the Regular period.

Beginning of the implementation of the New High School, incorporating a common and flexible core (composed by formative itinerary, elective subjects, the Life Project component and inclusion of credits).

Development of the first band of students from Middle School, full-time period.

First External Sportive Championship of Middle School students, full-time period.

Daniella Leonardi

After working as Principal in highly regarded bilingual schools in São Paulo, starts at Móbile as the International Department Principal, focusing on integrating the teaching of English and the development of the improvement of the bilingual program, a pioneer program that merges the teaching of a foreign language with the pedagogical power that characterizes the School project.

Márcia Ruiz

After 15 years working as teacher in the Early Childhood Education and Primary School, and 5 years working as the 7th grade Coordinator, takes on the role of vice-principal of Middle School, Regular period.

2023
