After reading the book Vira-Lata!, by Stephen Michael King, each 2nd grade class created a mascot in their Educational Orientation classes. This mascot is a dog that follows the kids in their school adventures. They are cared by all the students, and also taken home.

Since they started to be part of our classes, we decided to teach them English. And this way, naturally, as the learning process of a foreign language should be, the "Mutt Dog" Project was launched.

2nd grade students created a virtual memory game in which we can learn about mascots’ eating preferences.

The aims of this project are:
• To develop learners’ ability to use vocabulary related to food items;
• To enable the learners to exchange information about likes and dislikes.
