A blog is a collaborative virtual space that allows readers’ interaction. When we use blogs as a pedagogical tool in our English classes, we provide:

encouragement of the responsible use of the Internet;
discussion about ethics in the blogosphere;
the use of rules of virtual spaces;
the development of reading and writing abilities.

In the beginning of April 2007, students from Grades 6, 7, 8 and 9 started to develop a Collaborative Literary Blog Project. They read Literature Books in their English classes, participated in literary discussions and worked on communicative classroom tasks.

There are two important rules to write comments in the blogs:
They should be written in English.
People should write their names when posting a message.
